SharpMariner
The SharpMariner, the look of a dive watch
The SharpMariner takes up the grammar of dive watches: a unidirectional rotating bezel, a contrasting dial that reads at a glance, a sturdy-looking case. Its versions range from the most understated, all in black, to the brightest, an orange sunburst dial on a rubber strap, by way of a genuine mother-of-pearl dial bordered with zircon indices.
Three sizes for different wrists: 31 mm with a Seiko NH05 automatic, 40 and 41 mm with a Seiko NH35 automatic. All wind themselves as you wear them and hold about 40 hours of power reserve. 316L steel case, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, see-through caseback. Expect ¥44,800. It has the style of a diver, but it does not go in the water.
The SharpMariner suits anyone who likes sporty, legible watches, from the discreet 31 mm to the assertive 41 mm. Each piece is hand-assembled in our Paris workshop, then checked and adjusted before shipping. Want a watch in your colours? Head to Create my own watch. Frequently asked questions
Can I swim with a SharpMariner?
No. It has the style of a dive watch, but a modified watch is not made for water: take it off before showering, swimming or diving.
What is the rotating bezel for?
To measure elapsed time. At the start, line up the bezel marker with the minute hand: the hand then shows the minutes elapsed on the bezel. The bezel only turns one way, so the measurement cannot be thrown off by mistake.
Is there a SharpMariner for small wrists?
Yes, in 31 mm, with a Seiko NH05 automatic. The other SharpMariner measure 40 or 41 mm.
